If you are asking a friend or family member to work with a bail bond company to get you out of jail, you need to make sure you are ready to abide by the terms of the bail. If you can't follow the terms of bail, there is not a point in requesting bail.
#1 Be Willing to Check In
First, you need to be willing to check in. You will more than likely be asked to check in with a pre-trial service officer. A pre-trial service officer fills much of the same role as a probation officer; they make sure that you are following all the other conditions of the release and they make sure that you are not getting into trouble. You need to be willing not just to meet with your pre-trial service officer, but prioritize these meetings, because missing them could result in your bail getting revoked.
#2 Be Willing to Work
Second, when you are out on bail, the courts usually want you to be working if you are physically able to work. If you have a job, they expect you to show up to your job. They expect you to be on time for work and to not slack on your responsibilities. Your pre-trial officers may even check in with your place of employment.
If you don't have a job and you are capable of working, they will want to see evidence you are actively looking for work. Working shows you are a responsible member of society, which can help with your case.
#3 Stay Away from Alcohol and Drugs
Although alcohol is not illegal, you are generally asked to abstain from it when you are out on bail. If this is a condition of your release, you need to make sure that you abide by it. Don't sneak in a glass of wine at home or try to get a beer in with your friends after work. Being caught drinking, be it through a social media post or your pre-trial officer finding out, can get you sent back to jail.
More obviously, you are asked to stay away from illegal drugs. Doing something illegal doesn't look good when you are fighting charges already.
#4 Follow Your Curfew
Oftentimes, curfew is given with your bail. If you were given your a curfew, you need to make sure you meet your curfew. No sliding home 15 minutes after your curfew. You need to prioritize your curfew and take it seriously.
There are just some examples of conditions that could be placed on your bail. You need to be willing to follow the orders of the court if you want someone to put up bail for you. For more information, reach out to a local bail bonds company.

A few years back, I really started thinking about my financial future. I thought long and hard about how to go about handling various things, and someone told me that I needed to do something to get out of the hole. I started thinking about how to manage my money a little better, but I knew that I needed to start by getting a loan. I found a really fantastic loan that would work for what I needed, and after I got it, I felt great about the terms. After using it to pay off some of my debts, my monthly payments were much more manageable. Find out more about loans on this website.
